Claire found a human skull and her new home in Outlander Season 4, Episode 3. Here are her best moments from the episode.

Outlander Season 4, Episode 3 split us between two time periods. For Claire, it was about finding her new home with Jamie, which also involved her being lost in the middle of a thunderstorm.

Like with the Jamie and Roger pieces, I’m reducing the best Claire moments to just three because of the equal time spent between the characters. So, for the first #WomanCrushWednesday post (Brianna will follow later today), here’s a look at Claire’s top moments from “The False Bride.”

3. Military experience coming back

I know this may seem like an odd one, but I love that Outlander was able to connect back to Claire’s military experience. After finding herself lost in the thunderstorm, she quickly found shelter and removed her boots.

I won’t touch on the zipper right now (although, it was definitely not a costuming error and there is a post later today about this). It’s all about her reason for removing her boots.

They were wet and wearing wet boots and having wet feet is one of the worst things you can do. I say this from experience. Claire grew up in a time when trench foot was a major problem. She would have likely seen many soldiers during World War II with it, so knew the importance of removing boots to help keep the feet dry.

I love that the show continues to show how smart she is and how much hidden knowledge she has. It will come in use later.
