After two episodes set in the 18th century, it’s time to return to the 20th century. STARZ’s Outlander Season 4 featurette gives us a hint of what to expect from Brianna and Roger.

We’ve spent two weeks with Claire and Jamie in the 18th century. Now it’s time to head back to the 20th century to see what Brianna and Roger are up to now. This Outlander Season 4 featurette gives us all we need to know ahead of tonight’s new episode.

The two are currently in different countries. While Brianna continues her life in Boston, Roger is now one of the youngest professors at Oxford University. There’s something missing from their lives and it’s clear that it’s each other.

As Brianna tries to go through life without her family around, Roger is focused on building a career but doesn’t have a grounding. They can both fill in the gaps and its not surprising to see Roger head to the States to be with Brianna for a while. After all, he does have some information about Claire to share with her.

Then there’s the fact that Brianna is still mourning the loss of her daddy, Frank. The Outlander Season4 featurette shows a scene of her at the graveside sharing a “what if” moment that she plays in her head. I’m curious when this scene takes place since the grave still has fresh dirt over the top.

We’ve known that Brianna and Roger become more of a focal point in the book series. They’re going to become more of a focus in the TV show, but it is still Claire and Jamie’s story. We’ll see the two appear in Outlander Season 4, Episode 3 tonight.
