Caitriona Balfe shares more about Ford vs. Ferrari movie

When will Ford vs. Ferrari be out in theaters? Caitriona Balfe shares a rough release date and more about the movie.

Ford vs. Ferrari isn’t the official name of the movie yet, but it is the working title for now. It’s also Outlander star Caitriona Balfe’s upcoming movie. When will the movie be out and what exactly is it about? She’s shared a little more detail.

During an interview with Canada’s Global, our own Claire Fraser says that the Ford vs. Ferrari movie is now in the post-production stage. She finished filming recently, meaning she gets a break over Christmas and New Year to get ready for filming Outlander Season 5. This is one busy lady.

Very little has been shared about Balfe’s character, except to say that she’s the wife of Christian Bale’s Ken Miles. Sure enough, the Outlander star plays Mollie Miles, who is the supportive wife of Ken but also a race car driver herself.

This is more than just a movie about race car driving. While there will be some element of that within it, considering the controversial Le Mans race in 1966, it’s also a movie about relationships, friendships, and business. Most of it will likely be on Ken Miles’ relationship with Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), but there will also be the relationship with his wife and son.

Balfe shares that the movie should be out in June 2019. There isn’t an official date just yet, but this sounds about right. The 2019 date was always the projection. It will give us something to watch during Droughtlander, similarly to the way The Spy Who Dumped Me helped.
