Everything you need to know about the Outlander New York Comic-Con panel

Outlander will take to the New York Comic-Con stage on Saturday. Make sure you don’t miss it and you’re ready for everything at the event. Here’s all you need to know.

Outlander is heading to New York Comic-Con 2018. This was big news in the summer. Not only did it come out just before confirmation the show wouldn’t head to San Diego Comic-Con, but it also marks the first time the cast is heading to the East Coast event.

This isn’t the first time for Outlander specifically. Ron D. Moore was there in 2013 with Diana Gabaldon to introduce the series to the world. Now, the show is heading back just before the fourth season premieres.

The panel takes place on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 5:30 p.m. ET. It’s going to be at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, which is about a 20-minute walk from the Javits Convention Center.

Expect to be in the panel until 7 p.m. ET, which suggests that there’s going to be a screening of the Outlander Season 4 premiere. If not a full episode screening, there are certainly going to be some video features.

Who will be there?

Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin will be at the event. Ron D. Moore and Maril Davis are also confirmed. None of them are likely to cancel like has happened at the other conventions as this is promotion for the series, which always takes precedent unless there’s an accident or illness.

Diana Gabaldon is not going to be at New York Comic-Con. She shared shortly after the release of all the names that she hadn’t been invited and wasn’t even told ahead of the public. STARZ later apologized, but it was certainly disrespectful.

What is going to happen?

It’s not clear exactly what will happen at the event. There will be a press booth preview earlier in the day, which may give us some more of an idea. I’ll be there to share anything that I can for you.

As I said, I suspect there will be a screening of the premiere. This hasn’t been confirmed, but the timings suggest it. There will also likely be a discussion panel of what to expect in the fourth season, which is customary at various NYCC (and SDCC) panels.

If there’s no screening, there will likely be a teaser or sneak peek of part of the episode. There may even be another trailer released.
