How will Jenny feel towards Claire in Outlander Season 4?
Jenny and Claire have a difficult relationship ahead of them. Outlander Season 4 is going to make that a certainty.
When Claire went through the stones back to the 1940s, she left more than just Jamie behind. She left Jenny, Ian, and everyone else she’d met in the past behind. Outlander Season 4 is about to see that relationship between Jenny and Claire become more difficult than ever before.
While we can get this storyline from “Drums fo Autumn,” I’m going to keep the spoilers to a minimum and focus more on speculation. We don’t know exactly how much of the “Drums” storyline will be used in Outlander Season 4 and I don’t want to alienate those who haven’t read the books for whatever reason.
Why will Jenny and Claire’s relationship remain troubled? Well, it’s all to do with Brianna Randall Fraser. As much as Jenny will eventually love that Jamie has a daughter of his own, there’s going to be some ill-feelings towards Claire.

When Claire returned in Outlander Season 3, Jenny was understandably angry. Jenny had been left to believe that Claire had died. Jamie wouldn’t share what had happened to Claire, leaving everyone to think that she was dead, because why else would Claire be gone? Claire suddenly returning made it clear that Jamie had held something back.
Even if Jamie believed that Claire was dead, Jenny couldn’t understand why Claire had stayed away. Of course, it wasn’t like Claire could say she popped 200 years into the future for 20 years. However, it was difficult for Jenny to believe that Claire was in the Colonies. When she did accept that story, Jenny wanted to know if there were any children.
Claire stated no. Yes, she added “not with him,” but Jenny took that as an outright no. Suddenly learning that there is a daughter–and Jamie’s daughter–will be hard for Jenny. First of all, she needs to get her head around Jenny having a 20-year-old daughter; and one that Jamie has never met. Then she needs to get her head around that Claire didn’t exactly lie.
But why couldn’t Claire have ever told the truth? We know why, but Jenny won’t be able to. It won’t be surprising if there is a lot of animosity towards Claire because of this secret in Outlander Season 4.
