How to vote Outlander in the People’s Choice Awards 2018

Outlander fans were understandably disappointed to learn the show or actors weren’t included in any of the People’s Choice Awards 2018 categories. That doesn’t mean you can’t get the show nominated though!

The People’s Choice Awards 2018 nomination round opened yesterday. Outlander fans were immediately disappointing. The show and stars didn’t get their deserved mentions. However, you can still vote for the show to make sure it’s nominated.

E! offers a section where you can write in your vote. It’s just underneath all the 12 picks in each of the categories, allowing you to add a new nomination if you don’t agree with the ones the People’s Choice Awards 2018 thinks you’ll vote for.

You can write this vote in as many times as you want throughout the day–and as many times as you want until voting closes. I believe the voting closes on Sept. 14, with the finalists announced on Sept. 24, but I don’t see anything on the voting site that confirms that. Better to start now than be disappointed later.

When you start, make sure you’re in the right categories. You don’t want to waste your votes by putting Sam Heughan’s name in The Sci-fi/Fantasy Show of 2018 for example!

Also, make sure you write the name of the show and the actors correctly. A type will mean your vote isn’t counted. The best thing to do is copy a correct spelling and just paste it into the box.

Vote in multiple categories where you can. Last year, Outlander walked away with four wins (all four categories it was nominated in) and you can help it do the same this time. The Best Show of 2018, The Sci-fi/Fantasy Show of 2018, and many more categories are available.

Consider the best categories, though. There’s no point wasting your vote on a category Outlander isn’t eligible for.

You’ll need to log in to the voting site. This is done via email and it’s painless and quick. Once you’re logged in, that’s you for the day and you can go back as many times as you like to vote.
