Voting for the category nominations for the People’s Choice Awards 2018 is now open. Outlander fans can’t help but notice their show missing off the list. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be nominated!

The People’s Choice Awards are two months away. We’ll have our winners on Nov. 11 but before that the nominations need to be decided. These are also done through fan voting to make sure the actors, actresses, and shows people want on the list will be there. However, many fans have noticed that Outlander hasn’t made it to any of the categories.

When you look at the Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Actress, etc. you’d expect to see Outlander. It should be in line for nominations due to the change of timing for the awards. The last People’s Choice Awards were in January 2017 but the change of network meant the change of award show date.

Furthermore, Outlander won all four categories it was nominated for in the last People’s Choice Awards. It’s clearly a show that people vote for. So, why the shade?

I can’t answer the reason why it’s missing. What I can tell you is that this doesn’t mean Outlander can’t be nominated. It’s possible to get the show nominated by writing in your vote. This option is available on the People’s Choice Awards website.

You don’t have long to act. The nominations will be announced on Sept. 24, so you’ve got just short of three weeks to get the nominations in. You can put the name into all the relevant categories as many times of the day you want. I’ll more on that tomorrow.
