Outlander Season 4 key art here: Breaking down the image
The Outlander Season 4 key art is finally here. Now it’s time to break down the image to see what we can gather from the season.
STARZ has now officially released the Outlander Season 4 key art. It’s a major moment for the marketing, as it gives us the art that will be used for marketing, DVD and Blu-ray sets, and much more. This is something I’d brought up previously, questioning what we could expect.
It looks like the network has decided to work with just Claire and Jamie in the promo footage for the fourth season. That makes sense since this is still their story. Other characters are starting to grow in importance, but they will remain the key characters. At least, they will for this season.

Interestingly, the Outlander Season 4 key art includes Claire and Jamie standing on a cliff edge, overlooking the land. They’re dressed in Colonial clothing, with Jamie holding a musket as if they’ve been out hunting or he’s ready for the danger that could befall them in the Colonies.
“Brave the new world” is written in bold letters, which marks the first time wording has been used in the key art rather than just focusing on the show. As the two overlook the landscape, it’s clear that they’re getting ready to brave this new world and new life ahead of them.
It is a shame Brianna and Roger are missing. I’d expect many of the others to be missing since they don’t become major players until later, but Brianna and Roger really get a chance to shine in this upcoming season. That is if the show sticks closely to the books. Of course, the two have been missing from other promotional materials recently, which is a bone of contention with many fans (including yours truly).
Overall, it is a beautiful piece of art. There’s a lot of detail in the landscape with some bold coloring choices to help make elements of the poster stand out.
