A Place to Call Home is on its sixth and final season. You can watch the Australian period drama soon on Amazon Prime Video via Amazon Channels.

David Berry may be known to Outlander fans as Lord John Grey, but he’s known as James Bligh to A Place to Call Home fans. It started its sixth and final season in Australia earlier this month and now you get a chance to catch up on it all on Acorn TV via Amazon Channels, part of the Amazon Prime Video subscription.

The 10-episode season will wrap up storylines since it was canceled during production, allowing for a full wrap to tie up the loose ends. And it will feature David Berry, as he was able to work his schedule to return to Australia for the filming. A Place to Call Home is available via Amazon Channels on Aug. 31, 2018.

More from Outlander Fandom

For those who haven’t seen A Place to Call Home, it’s definitely a period drama to get you through Droughtlander. You’ll hear Berry with his native Australian accent while seeing him a 1950s role with secrets. The character hasn’t been in the series for a while so writing him back in has been interesting, but according to Berry he was extremely happy with it.

We’ll see more acceptance of James for who he really is and live in the Riveria is certainly good for him. The first three seasons certainly weren’t easy for James, so to see some positivity for the character is refreshing. It sets the tone for this final season that there is hope for all the good ones.

Did this mean Berry wasn’t available for Outlander Season 4? Well, during a video on the character, he does explain that he was fortunate that schedules could work. Production did start in March, which was when Outlander was still filming, so this show may have been the clash he was worried about. Should the series follow the books, Lord John Grey should definitely be back in the series this season.

For now, it’s all about  A Place to Call Home. If you want to see David Berry in something other than Outlander, this is the show to catch now.
