Dougal MacKenzie is heading to Los Angeles. Okay, Graham McTavish is heading to Lucifer Season 4. He’ll play a very different character to the one you’re used to: a revered and deeply empathetic priest, according to TVLine.
Lucifer made headlines in May when FOX opted to cancel the series before the Season 3 finale aired. The finale saw a major cliffhanger that left fans needing more. While FOX opted to cancel it due to poor viewing figures, Netflix came in at the very last minute to save it. The fourth season will see a shorter season, but it’s getting verra exciting with casting news.

McTavish will play Father Kinley in the series and is set for a recurring role. It’s not clear just how many episodes that means, but the season itself is only slated to have 10 episodes, which is in line with Netflix shows.

The release date will be sometime in early 2019. That sounds like the perfect timing for Outlander fans who need something to get through Droughtlander. Early 2019 will see the end of Outlander Season 4 and the start of what will likely be a little over 12 months of Droughtlander. There will be filming but the spoilers from that are never as good as new episodes from the Starz series.

Lucifer Season 4 is currently filming. It’s not clear when McTavish will appear in the series or what type of role he’ll play up against the devil himself. As a revered but empathetic priest, he may be the man who helps the devil do a little more good in the world or may help Chloe find some solitude and peace with everything she learned at the end of the third season.
