Cree doesn’t make a major appearance in the movie, but he plays Seton. It depends on how historically accurate this movie is, but this may be Christopher Seton, who would become Robert the Bruce’s brother-in-law.
Outlaw King will see the fight for Scotland. When Robert’s family and country are in trouble, he heads off to fight the English armies with a ragtag band of brothers. Soon, he finds himself labeled a traitor, putting everyone he cares about at risk. This is all set in one year, the year that would see him become the King of Scotland and gain the support of the people.
The movie will be released on Netflix and in select theaters on November 9. It’s just after the Outlander premiere, just as you get into the Scottish mood, offering a perfect way to continue the feeling before the second episode.
