Whether you’re waiting for Outlander Season 4 or the ninth book in Diana Gabaldon’s series (or both), you’ll want something to get you through. How about something that is Outlander related and from the author? It’s all about Seven Stones to Stand or Fall.

Just before the anniversary of the Outlander series premiere, Diana Gabaldon shared something special. “Seven Stones to Stand or Fall” was released in the U.S. and Canada in larger paperback (otherwise known as trade paperback). It’s already out in the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.

This isn’t the ninth book in the Outlander series, but it is set in the universe. In fact, some of the stories within the book will connect to the main storyline, similar to the way previous short stories and novellas have.

“Seven Stones to Stand or Fall” is a series of novellas about different characters in the universe. Five of them may be familiar, as they were written for other needs. Two were completely brand new and have only just been published. Look out for “A Fugitive Green” and “Besieged” if you want to start with the new novellas.

The reason to bring the other five in is because of how the stories were published in the past. Some parts of the world got some of them as a four-part story, while others got them as eBooks and have always wanted a physical book.

The good news for today (every day has at least _some_…) is that SEVEN STONES TO STAND OR FALL is now available in…

Diana shared a full post about the reason for the series of novellas and the inspiration for the name. It’s beautifully worded, like her novels, and you can hear her voice shine through the written word. Or maybe I’ve just watched too many of her interviews!
