Sam Heughan is in the upcoming action-comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me. Just when will it be out so all Outlander fans can watch?
Sassenachs around the world are keeping an eye on their favorite actors. Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are landing more movie roles and one of their movies is coming out next month. It’s all about Sam Heughan’s The Spy Who Dumped Me, starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon. Just when will it be released so Outlander fans can watch?
As you’ll know, Sam is currently doing a lot of promo work for the movie. He canceled the Las Vegas con partially for promo–and partially for the filming of Bloodshot with Vin Diesel–and he’s spent a lot of this weekend promoting the movie too. So, when can Sassenachs see it?

You don’t have too long. The movie will be released in the States on August 3. That’s two weeks, everyone!
The Spy Who Dumped Me is an action comedy, with Sam playing one of the spies–not the one who has dumped anyone by the looks of the promo. When two unsuspecting girls find out that one of their boyfriends is a spy and their lives are now in danger, they find themselves in the middle of a deadly international conspiracy. It’s an action rom-com, which is totally going to be up many Sassenach’s alleys and not just because of Sam Heughan.
There have been two trailers released so far. The first Claire and Jamie covered after the release. The second is below. It really does seem to give us a good idea of what to expect. Plus, with Mila Kunis in a lead comedy role, I’m happy–my first introduction to her was That 70s Show and I loved Jackie.
It will be good to see Sam Heughan in more bigger roles. He deserves it after all the hard work he’s put into Outlander and he’s shown he can certainly act! This is a chance for him to really prove the Emmys that he’s more than worthy of at least a nomination. Now, I just hope more movies doesn’t affect him in the future for Outlander. We have him until Season 6 but what about beyond?
