Outlander Season 2, Episode 4 will air in the UK tonight. “La Dame Blanche” shows the dangers of traveling through the Parisian streets at night in the 18th century. We also get to find out who “La Dame Blanche” is, while Jamie and Claire continue their attempts to stop the Jacobite rebellion.

Jamie and Claire decide it’s time to throw a dinner. They’re going to invite a few prominent people in Paris, including Bonnie Prince Charlie, Comte St. Germain, and Louise de la Tour. There’s an important reason for this dinner. While it may help to prevent the Jacobite rebellion, it’s also a chance to break Charles’ heart. You’ll have to watch to find out just how and why that is the case.

However, things go terribly wrong. Claire turns up late after getting out of the hospital late and the carriage wheel breaking. She, Mary, and Murtagh walk home, as Fergus rushes back to explain to Jamie why she’s late. Of course, they’re attacked on the way home, setting up the cliffhanger of an ending–and one of the most exciting moments in the house in order to protect an innocent man!

This is also the episode where Jamie learns Black Jack Randall’s fate. His reaction may not quite be what you’d initially expect.
