#MCM: 5 best Jamie moments in Outlander Season 2
Jamie Fraser is the King of Men and on this #ManCrushMonday it’s time to look at his best moments throughout Outlander Season 2.
Outlander Season 2 was a big moment for Jamie Fraser. It was the season that would see Jamie take on the Jacobite rising, attempting to disseminate it before it began and then take over and try to see the Battle of Culloden end more favorably. Sam Heughan certainly showed us ever acting skill he had throughout the season.
Since it’s #ManCrushMonday and Sam Heughan’s birthday, April 30 is the best time to look back over the second season and find Jamie’s top five moments.

While the PTSD storyline was something I rate, I’ll say now that it doesn’t make the list. That’s a top moment for Heughan himself in terms of acting, but not a best moment for the character Jamie.
#5. Giving Fergus his name
While we know Fergus as, well, Fergus now, he wasn’t always called that. You will likely remember in Outlander Season 3 that Jamie gives Fergus the name “Fergus Claudel Fraser.” That middle name is the name that Fergus had when he was in France. And it’s the naming of Fergus that starts off our top five list.
When Jamie caught Fergus in the act and gave him a job, he needed a name. Young Claudel told his future adoptive father his name, but it wasn’t Scottish enough for Jamie. He wasn’t going to use the French name and decided Fergus would be the best name.
He never does explain where the name Fergus comes from, but it is a strong Scottish name from the time. It was also a moment that made me laugh out loud while watching the second season.
