Outlander Season 3 Collector’s Edition includes extra bonus features
If you thought the bonus features on the Outlander DVD and Blu-Ray sets were awesome, wait until you see the extra for the Outlander Season 3 Collector’s Edition.
Sony certainly knows how to make money from the Outlander fans. When the DVD and Blu-Ray sets for Outlander Season 3 were released, so was a Collector’s Edition. This has happened with previous seasons, too, sharing more bonus features than you would get on the basic DVD box sets.
The big question for many fans is whether the Collector’s Edition is really worth the money. What exactly do you get and are the bonus features special enough?

As well as the (unusually long) gag reel and deleted scenes, the Outlander Season 3 Collector’s Edition also has some behind-the-scenes interviews and screenshots. You’ll get more of a look at everything that goes into the making of the series, along with explanations over why things were cut, which elements the showrunners felt necessary, and the special twerks included to create a unique experience.
There is also the ability to gain digital downloads through the Collector’s Edition. If you get rid of Starz after the season ends or you’re not in an area for Starz (it’s coming to Canada soon, woohoo!), then you’ll definitely want the digital downloads. There seem to have been some issues with the digital downloads not working, but that will hopefully be fixed soon.

Then there’s the beautiful booklet with the stills from the show. This is the reason many people buy the Collector’s Edition of the seasons, as it shows all the beautiful costumes, the flawless makeup, and the amazing sets.
