Outlander season 3 DVD release date: What we know so far about the season 3 DVD collection

Months after Season 3 wrapped, the Outlander Season 3 DVD release date finally seems to be set! Here’s what we know thus far about when the DVD will drop and what to expect from the release.
From the moment Season 3 of Outlander came to a close in December 2017, fans have been anxiously awaiting news on the Outlander Season 3 DVD collection such as when it would hit shelves and what bonus features would await them on the latest season collection. While Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has yet to confirm the official release date for the Outlander Season 3 DVD, the product’s release date seems to have been confirmed via the product’s Amazon listing!
After months of speculating, Amazon has recently updated the Outlander Season 3 DVD item page with a note listing the product’s release date as April 10, 2018. Ironically, an April 10 release for the Season 3 DVD would put the product’s release exactly four months to-the-date the Season 3 finale aired on Starz.

With a release date set, we can now begin to look ahead to what can be expected of the release and what can be expected from the Outlander Season 3 DVD collection.
In past years, the Outlander DVD releases have featured a variety of special features including deleted and extended scenes, gag reels and special featurettes aimed to bring fans bonus content which explored the show through unique, focal features. Because of the lengthier list of bonus features included on the Season 1 and Season 2 DVD collections, the expectations are extremely high for Season 3. Unfortunately, however, fans might be in store for quite the surprise when they pick up their copy of Season 3 on DVD.
While Sony has yet to confirm any details surrounding the release, the Outlander Season 3 DVD listing on Amazon Canada offers up a more in-depth look at the product through the release’s box art.

In looking at the back of the release, the only bonus feature directly referenced on the product’s packaging is a cast interview which means Season 3 could be the first DVD release not to boast a bevy of bonus features, including deleted and extended scenes. As for the number of discs in the collection, it seems as though the Season 3 DVD collection will consist of four DVDs, which each feature images of iconic moments from the season.
