Sam Heughan proved that working on a film set is no easy picnic
What do you imagine working on a film set would be like?
Many of us have had the fantasy at some point in our life. Imagining what it would be like if we sought a career in acting. We imagine a glamorous and comfortable lifestyle. A world where we would go from one heaven to the next, as we take on our next scene.
Well, it’s certainly anything far from the truth, as Sam Heughan showed the world with the help of co-star Catriona Balfe. Using her official Twitter account, the actress showed the luxurious comforts that Heughan was experiencing while on set.

Wrapping himself up from what we assume is the cold, sitting on a garden chair in a tent the image shows that the life of an actor is not always the life of luxury we all imagine. Instead of the trailers close by for the stars to relax in mid-shoot, Heughan and Balfe have a tent to share.
In defence of the production staff and everyone involved in the filming we have no doubt that some of this has been put on for comedic value but we do know that filming forSseason 4 is underway and temperatures around the world have been pretty damn cold, so it wouldn’t surprise us if this was no exaggeration either. In fact, Scotland alone has seen plenty of snow this winter but the show must go on.

Either way, it’s a great photo from our main stars reminding us that playing Claire and Jamie isn’t the life of luxury. There are some pretty big downsides as well.
