The Wedding

There were so many emotions here. Claire, of course, is drunk off her ass and really doesn’t want to get married. She understands what position she’s in, and understands what *not* marrying Jamie means. That being said, it does something strange to the woman in me to see her basically forced into this situation.

That being said, I know how this story goes, and I know that Claire and Jamie fall deeply, madly in love.

This is by far one of the most memorable and emotional passages from the book, and the episode was beautifully written. The juxtaposition between a beautiful wedding and the conflicted nature of each character as they find themselves tied to another human being forever more (maybe…) is wonderfully written and the on-screen performance captured perfectly every emotion and detail.

I definitely cried my eyes out.
