‘Outlander’ Season Two Cast: Meet the Lassies

facebooktwitterreddit

No other bit of Outlander news is more anxiety-inducing that WHO is going to play Brianna! Well, we still don’t know, so don’t get too excited. We do have quite a few new faces cast for Season 2 of Outlander, though. So who are the lassies joining the cast?

More from Casting

Since the Season 1 finale several months ago, small yet beloved roles have been cast, which has done absolutely nothing for our excitement about Brianna and Roger Mac. At the time of this article, neither has been cast.

But who has? We’ve had sporadic casting announcements throughout the spring and summer, so let’s take a look at the bigger picture.

Mary Hawkins will be played by Rosie Day (The Seasoning House).

The Seasoning House- Sterling Pictures LTD.

Sister Angelique will be played by Audrey Brisson (Hereafter).

Although we don’t yet have our Brianna Randall-Fraser, there is news that a casting call for the character has been released!

According to SpoilerTV the following casting call was released on the 25th of August:

"“20 something American born and rasied who’s strong-minded, intelligent beyond her years with an effortless charm and sparkling sense of humor (traits inherited from both her mother and father. She also has a scholastic mindset, with a healthy dose of American strength, having been born and bred in Boston under the watchful eye of professor and historian Frank Randall. The ease of natural beauty, Brianna has the ability to turn heads wherever she goes. However, underneath her self-possession, Brianna is still young, with the inexperience and vulnerability that goes with that.”"

From the same website, I have learned that a story line has also been released for Brianna that seems confusing and may shock some of you. The story line introduced in the casting call mentions that Brianna will follow her mother through time in order to meet her father.

Say what?!

That story line is not new to fans, but the book lovers may have skeptical eyebrow raise at the thought of it- Because that story line doesn’t occur until Book 4, “Drums of Autumn.”

So what do you think, guys? All of these ladies seem perfectly suited, and I absolutely LOVE Franes de la Tour- she is going to be a BRILLIANT Mother Hildegarde!
