Belly and Jeremiah are planning a wedding, but nobody knows just yet. That all changes by the end of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, episode 3.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, episode 3.
After the shocking turn of events at the end of the previous episode, Belly and Jeremiah are trying to enjoy their moments together that they still have. Jeremiah decides to propose to Belly again, and this time, he has a ring.
There’s just one problem. They’ve not told anyone yet, so Belly can’t wear the ring. That’s okay, because they agree that they should use Susannah’s Garden Memorial as the time to tell their families. That’s probably the worst time, but they’re so happy and excited about their decision that they just want a moment for themselves.

Belly tells one person first in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, episode 3
Of course, Belly can’t keep the exciting news to herself. She has to tell someone, and that someone has to be Taylor. Naturally, Taylor is shocked that Belly said yes so easily to Jeremiah. This is a guy who cheated on her, and she’s just taking him back.
Well, Taylor ends up apologizing for her words. She makes it clear that she’s Team Belly, and that means she’ll be happy. For now, I guess, because when Jeremiah messes up again, she’s going to pick Belly again.
As for Taylor and Steven, they are still not back together and they’re not talking. Steven is focused on work, but he ends up being pulled into Taylor’s family issues. Taylor’s mom asks him to look at the books for her salon, which is when he learns that the salon is being bled dry. Hopefully, Steven can figure out a way to save the salon, but is this also a sneaky way to get the two back together?

Conrad makes it to the garden memorial
Since he no longer has the job, Conrad decides that he can make it to the memorial after all. He doesn’t get there in time for the speech, but he at least makes it for some of it. However, it’s not easy for him, as he has to deal with seeing Belly and Jeremiah happy together.
This is when all hell breaks loose, though. Conrad and Jeremiah’s dad raises a toast to all the kids, saying how well they have done growing up. That is except for Jeremiah, who he berates. This guy is an absolute jerk, and I wish that someone like Laurel could put him in his place. There is one thing to be disappointed in Jeremiah, but it’s another thing to keep comparing the two brothers.
Well, Belly decides that she’s had enough, and she makes it clear that Jeremiah has big plans. This is when the engagement announcement comes out, with Belly confirming that they’re planning an August wedding.
Of course, everyone is shocked. Conrad is more hurt than shocked for now, and it looks like his chance to get the woman he loves back is over. Or is it?
