It’s Tuesday night, and this is important for many The Summer I Turned Pretty fans out there. It’s the night to prepare for a new episode of the series.
There is some bad news about Wednesday, Sept. 24. There’s no point in getting ready for a new episode tonight, because one isn’t coming. And while, at first, it seemed like it would be devastating news this week, we do have a positive update about the series.
The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 ended
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, the season 3 finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty aired on Prime Video. This marked the end of the series, but it doesn’t quite seem like the end. After all, the series doesn’t end in the way of the book.
Of course, we knew that the show may not end in the same way as the book, as Jenny Han had warned many. Fortunately, it wasn’t a huge change in who Belly ended up with, and the final three episodes gave us a look at how Belly and Conrad would end up together.
We just didn’t get the wedding that we were expecting. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though, as I do think it was important to show Belly and Conrad growing as people.
There is good news for Summer fans
In some great news, we may just get the wedding that we were hoping for. While The Summer I Turned Pretty has ended as a series, Prime Video released some good news. There is a movie coming, and while we don’t have the details of what to expect, we’re all certain it’s going to be the epic wedding.
The wedding in the books was short, and it was somewhat disappointing for many. One of the things I disliked was how Jeremiah was with some unnamed woman, with a thought that the Fisher brothers hadn’t really mended their fences. With some hope, there will be a change to this, as we know that Jeremiah and Conrad did somewhat mend things in The Summer I Turned Pretty series finale.
At this point, we’re just excited to get a movie. There’s the hope that we’ll get the closure and the ending we need for this romance show. However, there is a wait on our hands!
