Rebus is coming to Viaplay next week, but is it a binge-watch release?
It’s taken long enough, but fans can finally watch Richard Rankin as John Rebus. The series Rebus drops on Viaplay next week, but is this a binge-watch release?
Rankin was announced as the lead in the Viaplay series in March 2023. Then came some bad news. Despite the series being fully filmed, Viaplay chose to end production of shows outside the Nordic countries. That left us with a lot of questions about this series in particular.
Well, Viaplay is still bringing it our way. There isn’t much longer left to wait.
Rebus release schedule brings some great news for fans
There is some great news for those who want to watch the full season. Rebus will come to Viaplay on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Yes, you can binge-watch the whole season. All six episodes of the season are coming to Viaplay at once. And this is most definitely a series you’ll want to binge-watch.
What is Rebus about?
The series follows John Rebus, a conflicted police officer who is more than willing to cross the line now and then. However, a case becomes personal when it turns out that his brother Michael, a former soldier, has turned to a life of crime to survive.
Personally, Rebus is dealing with a broken marriage and a daughter who is turning to her stepdad to be her father figure. Then there’s a situation within the police as Rebus knows that someone on the inside could be responsible for the stabbing of another person. He was certainly the reason for a car accident that opens up the series.
Let’s not overlook Rebus’s somewhat lack of a moral code as well. He decides to involve himself in an affair with the wife of a disabled former police officer. Our lead has to figure out what there is in the world of policing and life.
Rebus is available as a binge-watch on Thursday, Nov. 7 on Viaplay.
