We will get to see more of Lestat in Interview with the Vampire Season 3. It’s time to see who Lestat really is, and not the versions of the vampire others see him as. And yes, this third season is still based on a book from Anne Rice’s collection.

Lestat will become a rock star in Interview with the Vampire Season 3. Those who have read Rice’s novels will know that this is true to the story. Lestat wants to set the record straight about who he is, and forming a band and going on tour is the best way to do that.

One of the best things about the books, and hopefully the series, is that we’re reminded that there are two sides to every story. In fact, there are three: the two sides being told and then the truth.

Interview with the Vampire Season 3 follows The Vampire Lestat

The third season will follow the events of Rice’s second book in the story, The Vampire Lestat. This is the one that is narrated by Lestat, giving us his side of the story of his past. There are some events that are told in Interview with the Vampire, but the events differ. We’re left wondering which of the events is true.

In the novel, Lestat is angry at the published novel Interview with the Vampire by Daniel Molloy. He wants to set the record straight about who he is, and he decides to start a band. He tells his bandmates who he is, but they believe him to be joking since they know the novel. Nevertheless, Lestat tells his story in an autobiography and the rock album.

While part of him enjoys the conflict between vampires and humans, he also wants to reconnect with the vampires from his past. One of those is Louis. We see him at the end of Interview with the Vampire Season 2 that he and Louis get a chance to talk. They’re not together, but they are on talking terms. What will Lestat’s decisions to head out on tour do to them?
