What happened to Jenn in the Quantum Leap Season 2 finale?

Things did not look good for the team in the Quantum Leap Season 2 finale. It turned out that Jeffrey was behind all the bad happening, and the team needed to work together and with people from the OG series to deal with the situation.

Our favorite hacker Jenn had to break into HQ to lock down the system. Of course, Jeffrey/Gideon wasn’t stupid. He knew where to go, and he was more than willing to do what it took to get his job done.

Jenn was also willing. She refused to leave until she knew that the system was locked down to buy everyone else time.

Did Jenn die in Quantum Leap?

It certainly looked like Jenn had died in the Quantum Leap Season 2 finale. In fact, in the original timeline she did.

Ben and Addison were able to change the timeline. Rather than destroy the computer to hit Jeffrey’s (Hannah's son) confidence and prevent him attacking Quantum Leap, Ben got Jeffrey to help him with the leap. As Jeffrey realized what it was like to save people, he realized that he needed to help the program succeed.

That created a butterfly effect that only Addison and Ben would remember. Jeffrey became a major donor, presumably still using Ben’s stock tips to become a billionaire.

The big reveal was that Jenn was still alive. With Jeffrey not coming after the team, Jenn never locked down the system and never paid the ultimate price. Maybe it’s a bit of a cheat way out of the whole system, but it didn’t override the sacrifice Jenn paid. She was willing to die for what was right, and we know she’d do it again.
