The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 can't ever come to DVD and Blu-ray

The Nevers came out in April 2021. It saw a major change in showrunner partway through, leading to the first season getting split in two. The wait for Part 2 was excruciating.

Eventually, HBO decided not to renew the series. In fact, it decided not to even air the second half of the season. Tubi ended up picking up The Nevers Season 1, Part 2, but it was clear that no more of the Laura Donnelly series would be made.

Of course, that’s not stopped fans from looking out for the DVD release. After all, the first half of the season came out on DVD and Blu-ray. Wouldn’t that mean the second half of the season would?

Don’t expect The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 on DVD and Blu-ray

There is some terrible news for fans of the series. This series isn’t going to release the second half of the season on DVD. It’s not that it doesn’t want to, but that it can’t.

Due to the way that HBO canceled the show, it can’t generate any more money via sales. That includes via DVD sales. So, the episodes aren’t going to be released in any format other than on FAST channels. These are the free, ad-supported channels.

At least the channels are free. It is possible to watch all six episodes of Season 1B via Tubi at no extra cost. It’s worth it to watch the ads to not have to pay for yet another streaming platform. Annoyingly, though, it does mean that this is the end. If you loved the story and loved Laura Donnelly in the lead, you’ll not get to see how it was set to continue.

We’ll sure to be on the look out for anything else that Laura Donnelly does. After all, she was a great lead in The Nevers.
