The Irish Wish stars two Outlander actors opposite Lindsay Lohan, and it's definitely a story of be careful what you wish for.
More often than not, the one who got away got away for a reason. That’s something Lindsay Lohan’s Maddie is likely to find out in The Irish Wish.
Two Outlander actors star in this movie opposite her. We have Alexander Vlahos as a man who seems to be the perfect guy who is anything but. Then there’s Ed Speleers, who is certainly not a Stephen Bonnet…at least, he doesn’t seem like it.
The trailer for The Irish Wish is out, and we can’t wait!
What is The Irish Wish about?
Lohan plays Maddie, a woman who heads to Ireland for a wedding. It’s her friend’s wedding, and he turns out to be a successful businessman who happens to be the one who got away. Maddie can’t help but wonder if things would be different for her if she was the one marrying Paul.
That’s what she wishes for, and she certainly sees just how her life would be different. The question is whether it would be different in a good way. That’s something Maddie comes to realize may not be the case, especially when she meets her photographer.
It turns out that Maddie’s soulmate could be someone very different. I guess Outlander fans could see Paul as Frank and James as Jamie.
For fans of Speleers, it’s going to be a lot of fun seeing him as the good guy. After all, look at his character in You. Of course, if you watched Star Trek: Picard, you’ll have seen him play a good character too. This man has range.
As for Vlahos, well, he certainly comes across as a modern day Allan Christie. Well, sort of. Just without the incest. He is definitely a bit of a…I can’t say what I’m thinking here.
