What is Irish Wish about?

Irish Wish has landed two Outlander stars. What is the Netflix movie going to be about? We take a look at the current synopsis.

With learning that two Outlander actors are joining Lindsay Lohan in Irish Wish, we’re certainly intrigued. There is no doubt that we’ll be tuning into the movie just to see Ed Speleers and Alexander Vlahos.

Before we do tune in, we need to get an idea of what to expect. It’s important to know what type of movie we’ll be watching and what the synopsis is, so we can adjust our expectations. This isn’t going to be anything like Outlander.

What is Irish Wish about?

Lindsay Lohan plays Maddie, a woman who is struggling with acceptance. The love of her life is marrying her best friend, and Maddie just has to be happy for them. She wants to be a part of their big day, even though she wishes that she was the one walking down the aisle.

Well, wishes sometimes come true, and usually, there is some sort of twist. Maddie makes a spontaneous wish one night while they’re all in Ireland for the wedding. When Maddie wakes up the next day, she is the one getting married.

Think of this a little like 13 Going on 30 and Big. The difference is that it’s all about love and romance instead of wanting to be a grown-up. Sometimes life doesn’t work out the way you expected, and Maddie learns that her soulmate isn’t going to be the man she wanted it to be. There is someone else out there who will bring her true love.

Is that true love match going to be one of our Outlander actors? Will we get to see Ed Speleers or Alexander Vlahos as a man was can root for? Only time will tell.

Irish Wish is slated to come to Netflix in 2023.
