After much speculation, Alexander Vlahos is officially part of Outlander Season 6. Who is the actor and which role will he play?

When we saw Vlahos was heading to Scotland for filming, we couldn’t help but suspect that it was for Outlander. In fact, we shared a post of all the characters he could play in Season 6, and one of those was correct.

Vlahos will take on the role of Allan Christie on Outlander Season 6. He’s the son of Tom Christie (Mark Lewis Jones) and the brother of Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds), and he is certainly one of those characters you won’t like by the end of his part of the story.

Just get ready to be torn because of how much you’ll love Alexander Vlahos.

From Versailles to Outlander Season 6

Vlahos is a writer, director, and actor. He’s known for a number of period drama roles, including Mordred on Merlin and Tom Evans on The Indian Doctor.

The biggest role you’ll likely know him for is as Monsieur Philippe d’Orléans on Versailles. It seems fitting that he’s now moving onto Outlander Season 6 considering how Season 2 was set in Paris. Claire and Jamie spent some time at Versailles as they tried to prevent the Jacobite Rising.

He’s an actor with a lot of experience in both standard TV shows and soaps (Doctors). Soaps tend to have a very grueling schedule because of the number of episodes they need to put out in a week, so that will come in handy with Outlander‘s filming schedule.

He also has a background in stage, which will also come in handy.

Learning from his mistakes

Vlahos is certainly grateful for the role of Philippe on Versailles, but he has admitted that he was immature at first. He didn’t prepare for the role as he should have done.

He’s learned from that mistake, though. While he is still fun-loving and likes to have a laugh, he is serious about his job. We should expect great things from him as Allan Christie.

So far, Vlahos is only credited for one episode of Outlander Season 6 on his IMDb profile. Take this with a grain of salt. Considering the Christie storyline, this is likely to take a few episodes at the start of the sixth season.
