Of course, there are people trying to overthrow her. There are others attempting to marry her to gain power. We get to see the highs and lows of her reign, including marrying Albert and their romantic trip to Scotland.

By the way, this series also stars Nell Hudson—and she isn’t the evil Laoghaire in this!

The series follows Antonia Fotaras as Ade, a teenager who ends up on the run with her brother after the murder of their grandmother. She was accused of being a witch, and now the witch hunters are after the rest of the family.

Along the way, Ade meets and falls for Pietro, played by Giorgio Belli. Could he help? That’s going to be difficult when he is the son of a witch hunter. This series certainly brings from Romeo and Juliet vibes.
