There are plenty of non-book fans who are here for the Outlander spoilers. Then there are others who have read the books but can’t remember all the details. Well, we’re getting into the details of what’s to come in the second half of Outlander Season 7.
Lord John Grey finds himself on the wrong side of Jamie’s anger in Outlander
This storyline takes place toward the end of An Echo in the Bone, which is the seventh book in the series. It continues into the eighth book, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood.
Toward the end of the seventh book, Claire is in the Colonies and Jamie is still in Scotland. Lord John Grey learns that Jamie’s ship sinks at sea, and Jamie is presumed dead. To protect Claire, he offers to marry her, and that’s exactly what happens.
Of course, they need to consummate their marriage. And of course, Jamie isn’t actually dead. He got a later ship, and he ends up coming home to find out his wife is with another man. He then comes to find out that while they were intimate, both of them were thinking of Jamie. While Jamie is angry at the entire situation at first, he can understand why Claire did it. It’s John that he is most angry with, and he takes his anger out on the man.
Jamie beats John so much that it damages John’s eye. John is also left alone with the injury, and he ends up being picked up by the Continental Army, who treat his eye. Eventually, John does get back home and Claire is able to treat his eye.
There is a lot of drama to come in Outlander Season 7B, and we can’t wait!
