Well, it’s also a time to look out for all those red flag men and women. We’ve taken a look at the men in Outlander to avoid, and now it’s time for the women in the series to watch out for.
There have been some terrible and toxic women in the series. Some of them are simply women of their times stuck in their views or struggling to move past whatever trauma they’ve been through. Then there are others who are conniving and manipulative for the sake of it.

Laoghaire MacKenzie
The first of the toxic women we met was Laoghaire. She was a young girl of just 16 when Claire first met her, and it was clear she was smitten over Jamie Fraser. Who wouldn’t be at her age? That would have been fine, Laoghaire went off the deep end when she found out Jamie and Claire married.
Laoghaire was sure that Jamie married out of duty. So, she decided to get him free of Claire by accusing her of witchcraft. For a while, it looked like she learned the error of her ways, but it didn’t take long for her to become a thorn in Jamie’s and Claire’s sides again.
