Matt Smith shares when he thinks House of the Dragon Season 2 will come out
It’s not unusual for actors to share their thoughts on when their shows will arrive. They do sometimes get it wrong, but they can also be right. What about when it comes to House of the Dragon?
We know with Outlander that Sam Heughan once got it wrong. He told everyone that Outlander Season 6 would arrive in February, only for it to come out a month later. It was an easy mistake to make, but it shows that actors aren’t always given the right information.
Now Matt Smith has shared when he thinks that House of the Dragon Season 2 will come out. This one is speculation rather than a statement, though. HBO still hasn’t confirmed anything.
When does Matt Smith think we’ll get House of the Dragon Season 2?
HBO has told us that we’ll get the season this year. In fact, we’ll get it this summer. Our thoughts are that it will arrive in August, matching the release of House of the Dragon Season 1.
Well, we’re not alone in those thoughts. Smith also thinks that the season will premiere in August. While he was on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, he shared that he thinks that the season is set to come out in August. He did then switch to summer, making it very clear that he doesn’t know.
In fact, Smith and the rest of the cast haven’t watched the screener episodes, yet. Filming wrapped last year, but he shared that they’re still to do the ADR, which is the Automated Dialogue Recording. This is a major part of post-production, so it sounds like the end of the summer is more likely than the start of it.
Of course, right now, August could be the loose plan. HBO will move things around depending on the process of post-production on this show and various others. Schedules always have to remain fluid, even when there’s a set date announced!
House of the Dragon is available to stream on Max.
