It’s taking longer and longer to get our favorite shows back. Some of that has been linked to the strike action in 2023, but it’s also linked to production time to get the quality of the series that we expect and deserve. Interview with the Vampire is no exception.
The first season of the Anne Rice adaptation ended in November 2022. The show was quickly renewed, but we’ve had to wait some time for any news about it. Yes, this was a series affected by the strike action in the summer of 2023. So, it’s not surprising that we’ve had to wait some time.
The good news is there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Interview with the Vampire Season 2 will arrive this spring.
When to expect Interview with the Vampire Season 2
The second season will premiere on Sunday, May 12. When you consider the delays from the strikes, the wait actually hasn’t been that long. Had it not been for the strikes, we would have potentially got the season at the end of 2023.
We’ll pick up with Louis de Pointe du Luc’s interview with journalist Daniel Molloy. We’ve reached the bloody events in 1940’s New Orleans, and now Louis and Claudia have killed Lestat de Lioncourt. At least, they think they have.
Now they are in Europe, and it’s tie to learn all about the Old World Vampires. They’ll even head to Paris for the Theatre De Vampires, which is where Louis meets Armand. Of course, we know from the book and the original movie that things don’t end well for Louis and Armand.
Molloy wants to learn more. He wants more of Louis’s life to be shared, but that’s not necessarily something Louis is ready for just yet. Molloy isn't the only one with a difficult question to answer:
