How many seasons of A Discovery of Witches will come to Netflix in August?
There are many reasons to watch A Discovery of Witches. It’s covers multiple time periods, brings a love story, focuses on different supernatural species, and so much more. The great news is that it’s one of the AMC shows heading to Netflix in August.
Netflix announced that 11 shows would arrive on the streamer on Monday, Aug. 19. For the most part, it’s the first season of current shows. However, there are a few shows that will arrive in full.
All three seasons of A Discovery of Witches looks to come to Netflix
In the announcement, A Discovery of Witches was the first on the list. It didn’t have a season number attached to it, unlike shows such as The Terror and Interview with the Vampire. While Mayfair Witches and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon didn’t have a season number, there is only one season available of both right now.
Other shows with multiple seasons didn’t have a season number attached, either. Preacher and Into the Badlands were included on the list. It would assume that all seasons of the shows are coming, which means all three seasons of A Discovery of Witches will be available.
What is A Discovery of Witches about?
The series follows the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness. It starts with Diana Bishop, a woman born as a witch who has decided not to follow that heritage. She doesn’t want anything to do with her powers, but she won’t have a choice soon. When she’s the only one who can find a missing book, the entire magical community comes after her.
One of those is Matthew Clairmont, a professor, researcher, and a vampire. He is trying to figure out why vampires can’t turn other vampires and why the various species in the world are dying out. The book that Diana was able to find may hold the clues. Little does he think he will end up falling in love with her, though, which is forbidden by the various species of supernatural creatures.
A Discovery of Witches will drop on Netflix on Monday, Aug. 19.
