House of the Dragon Season 2 releases two trailers: Are you Team Black or Team Green?

HBO is not disappointing with its promotion of House of the Dragon Season 2. There are two trailers to give us a look at what to expect in the second season.

The two trailers give us details of the two sides of the Targaryen civil war. In the Green Trailer, we see Alicent’s continued belief that Aegon is the one Viserys wanted on the Iron Throne. In the Black Trailer, we see Rhaenyra’s belief that she is the rightful queen.

Fans will need to pick a side. Before you do that, watch both of the trailers.

House of the Dragon Season 2: Green Trailer

The trailer for the Greens is focused on the Hightower side of things. Alicent is sure that her husband wanted Aegon to sit on the Iron Throne after his death. This belief comes from the way Viserys believed Alicent was Rhaenyra at the time of his death. Alicent didn’t understand what he meant because she didn’t know the prophecy, whereas Rhaenyra did.

With this, Alicent and her father got to work on putting Aegon on the Iron Throne. Of course, as the eldest son of Viserys, he does believe that he is the rightful king. Westeros has only seen kings. The queens have ruled with them. So, it’s not all that surprising that he believes the throne to be his.

Of course, we have Otto Hightower, who is just playing for power. So are a lot of others who are the puppets behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, the trailer for the Blacks shows us Rhaenyra’s continued belief that she is the rightful Queen of Westeros. She and her followers are stuck at Dragonstone at the moment, but she does have loyal supporters around Westeros. Right now, her former father-in-law, Corlys Velaryon is on her side and he has some wise words for her. So does her former mother-in-law, Rhaenys, who can see how bloody and dangerous this war will get.

Rhaenyra isn’t just fighting for the throne, at this point. She is fighting for revenge.

Meanwhile, Daemon still believes that his niece and wife is the rightful queen. Of course, part of that is power for him, but he also knows that his brother chose Rhaenyra. Of course, he is going to support her in this fight against the Hightowers.

This is more than just a war between kin. This is a war of dragons, and that’s going to mean a lot more people are in danger. Rhaenyra can’t lose sight of why she started this war in the first place, but she’s in danger of doing so.
