Did Ed ever find out Karen had an affair with Danny in For All Mankind?

During For All Mankind Season 2, the series brought an icky storyline. Karen had a one-night stand with Danny Stevens. Karen is honest about the affair, eventually leading to Karen and Ed divorcing.

Karen never told Ed who she had the affair with, despite him wanting to know. It’s also clear that the night was more than just one night for Danny. He was infatuated with Karen and her loss at the end of Season 3 likely would have hurt him had he known about it. Danny had his own issues to deal with by that point.

We’re now at the end of Season 4, and there’s one question that fans have. Did Ed ever learn the truth?

Danny didn’t tell Ed the truth in For All Mankind

Karen went to her grave not telling Ed the full truth. There was no need to, and she didn’t want Ed to look at Danny in a negative light.

What about Danny, though? He showed some dangerous behavior throughout the third season. It all built up to him being responsible for the deaths of multiple astronauts on Mars.

At one point, Ed and Danny were trapped. There was a chance that they would die, and it led to some confessions coming out. Danny confessed to being the reason for the deaths earlier on in the season, and it looked like he was going to confess to being the other man in Karen and Ed’s marriage. In the end, he chose not to say anything.

We can therefore believe that Ed never found out the truth. He didn’t even suspect Danny, so it’s not like he had a lot of questions. By the end of For All Mankind, Karen had been dead for around 10 years. He’s more worried about his future rather than his past. On top of that, Danny is now dead, so the only two who knew the secret are gone and Ed can’t find out the truth.
