The new season of Doctor Who is about to start. The first episodes are just days away, and with Russell T. Davis back at the helm, we can’t wait to see what is in store.

Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson return as the 15th Doctor and Ruby Sunday. We got to meet Gatwa’s iteration of The Doctor in the last of the three 60th anniversary specials as the whole of mythology changed with bi-generation. Ruby was introduced as the new companion in the 2023 Christmas Day special, “The Church on Ruby Road.” That special is technically the first episode of the 14th season, but it’s also classed as a special.

Now, this season is being billed as Season 1 by Disney+ with the move to that streaming platform everywhere outside of the UK. It is still part of the New Who series, so it is Season 14.

Doctor Who Season 14 release schedule

Unlike previous seasons, two episodes will drop at once to kick-start the season. They will both be available at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Friday, May 10 on Disney+. This will time with midnight UK time for the release on iPlayer.

By the way, if you are in the UK, episodes will still air on BBC 1 on Saturday nights. Fans will just be able to watch the episodes earlier on iPlayer during Saturday to allow for a global release at the same time.

The dates we’re using are for those on Disney+. So, if you’re in the UK or on a later time zone than ET, you’ll need to wait until the following day at whatever time 7 p.m. ET is the equivalent for you.

Friday, May 10: Episodes 1 and 2, “Space Babies” and “The Devil’s Chord”
Friday, May 17: Episode 3, “Boom”
Friday, May 24: Episode 4, “73 Yards”
Friday, May 31: Episode 5, “Dot and Bubble”
Friday, June 7: Episode 6, “Rogue”
Friday, June 14: Episode 7, “The Legend of Ruby Sunday”
Friday, June 21: Episode 8, “Empire of Death”

We won’t get all of Ruby Sunday’s story until Season 15. Russell T. Davis has confirmed that Millie Gibson is not leaving the series after this first season. She will be in the second despite the rumors that circulated about Gibson’s exit.
