5 couples other than Claire and Jamie who are couples goals in Outlander
Jocasta and Murtagh
This is a show-only romance, but it’s such a great one. Despite their ending, the two are couples goals in Outlander. Let’s just point out the fact that they both remind us that love is still possible even when you’re silver-haired and blind.
Jocasta and Murtagh are a surprise love, even to themselves. As soon as they’re willing to admit their feelings, they do what they can to be together. They sneak around just to spend time with each other, and it’s so adorable.
In the end, they can’t be together. Murtagh knows that he and Jocasta can never marry. Jocasta won’t be a rebel, but he can’t change what he is fighting for. So, with all that, the two have to separate. They make that sacrifice so they can both be true to themselves. That’s not always easy, and as heartbreaking as it is, it does make them a couple to adore on screen.
Murdina and Arch
I told you there would be a couple that would surprise you. It’s all about the Bugs. As much as they are awful and conniving people at times, they are there for each other.
We see the love Arch had for his wife after her death. He will do what it takes to get revenge for losing his wife. He wants Young Ian to feel the exact same pain as he does, and that means taking the woman he loves. And we can tell that Murdina loved Arch. She knew the type of man he was, and she was willing to give up having children to make sure she could have him.
The books do go into their relationship more. However, the show delves into it enough. We can see that they have been through highs and a lot of lows together. They have stood by each other and looked out for each other. Everything they do is with each other in mind, and that’s what you want in a partner. Even if they are willing to steal gold and kill to get revenge.
