Could Outlander Season 7B end on a cliffhanger?

When Outlander Season 7B comes to an end, we’ll be into another Droughtlander. This will be the last Droughtlander as Outlander Season 8 is the end.

At one point, the show’s producers thought Season 7 would be the last. It meant that the season was written as an ending but then changed at the last minute slightly. Does this mean that we’ll get a small cliffhanger? It’s something that some fans are expecting when it comes to the book storyline.

Outlander Season 7B could end with a cliffhanger

It would make sense to have a cliffhanger at the end of the season finale. It’s not like we don’t know if the questions will be answered or not. Season 8 is happening.

Also, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood did end with somewhat of a cliffhanger with the “Hello, the House” line. Some fans don’t expect that storyline to be the end of Season 7B, though. Instead, the season could end just a little bit before it.

It looks like the end of the season will focus on the Battle of Monmouth. That brings trouble for Claire and Jamie as Claire is shot and seriously wounded. Once she recovers, she and Jamie made the decision to return to Fraser’s Ridge.

At the same time, we see Brianna head to 1739 with Jemmy and Mandy to get to Roger now that they know where he has ended up. The two then have to make a decision about where to go. Do they head back to 1980, or do they go back to the 1770s to Fraser’s Ridge? The Ridge is considered the safest option.

Is it possible that we end up with an ending that sees the two couples make this decision. There’s this knowledge for the fans that everyone is going to end back at the Ridge together, but we have to wait until Outlander Season 8 to see it, much like we had to wait until Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone to see the family reunited.

Of course, “Hello, the House” would be a much better ending for Outlander Season 7B, but it’s not as easy to pull off as a cliffhanger as it is in the book.
