Brianna and Mandy are currently in the 1980s in Outlander. Is that how things will remain in Outlander Season 7B despite Roger going to the past?
We’re getting into spoilers from Written in My Own Heart’s Blood.
Outlander did not disappoint when it came to Brianna and Roger’s storyline in the 1980s. They’ve bought Lallybroch, and they’re both finding their callings in their own time period. However, it’s not without danger.
Jemmy has been taken by Rob Cameron, and it looks like Rob has taken him to the past to find the French gold that’s been hidden with the Spaniard. Roger and Buck MacKenzie are now traveling through the stones to find Jemmy, while Bree remains in her own time with Mandy. Is that how it will remain?
Jemmy isn’t in the past in Outlander
The MacKenzies are going to get a shock when they learn that Jemmy isn’t actually in the past. Brianna learns this in Written in My Own Heart’s Blood. Jemmy is reunited with his mother and sister, but that leaves a big question about how to get word to Roger. After all, he’s in the past.
Brianna can’t just go through the stones with her children. She doesn’t know exactly when or where Roger is. She needs to figure that out, and then she’ll need to decide if it’s worth the risk to travel. Considering Roger has no way of knowing what’s going on in Bree’s time, he’s not going to know that Jemmy is there and Rob is a threat, so he won’t immediately make his way back.
Roger won’t leave the past without Jemmy. So, without a way to know that Jemmy isn’t actually there, the only option is for Bree to eventually go back to him.
Now the question is whether they both end up in Jamie and Claire’s time. That’s not the case, so then they have to decide from where they are whether to go back to their own time or to the 1770s and to the dangers of the Revolutionary War.
