While we can always watch Outlander on STARZ, there’s nothing better than owning our favorite shows on DVD and Blu-ray. The good news there’s a way to do that with this series, and there’s a release date for Outlander season 7.
We will get the entire seventh season together, and while it’s been disappointing that we’ve had to wait, it will be worth it. Like with previous seasons, there is the basic DVD and Blu-ray option, or you can spend a little more money to get the Collector’s Edition. I know which one I’m getting!
When will Outlander season 7 come to DVD and Blu-ray?
The Outlander season 7 Collector’s Edition, DVD, and Blu-ray will all be released on Tuesday, May 27. Get that date in your diary right now, and make sure you head to Wal-Mart, Amazon, and wherever you prefer to get your pre-orders in now so that you don’t have to think about it.
There is no word on when the Digital episodes will be released to purchase. As the DVD boxsets usually include a Digital code, we’re expecting to get that a week or so before. It could be all the way up to the DVD release date, though.
What’s included in the Outlander season 7 boxsets?
All copies will include six discs with all the episodes from the seventh season. That’s 16 episodes in one, getting the story of how Jamie saved Claire from her murder charge to how Claire’s life was saved when she was shot at the Battle of Monmouth.
As well as that, there are four Outlander Untold stories to watch. These are scenes that have been intentionally filmed for these bonus features rather than the traditional deleted scenes. They offer further stories for some of the side characters, although details of which characters will be included in the Outlander Untold scenes this time haven’t been shared yet.
There are also the traditional deleted scenes and the blooper reel. The blooper reel is always a lot of fun, as it’s great to see how the actors get along and how often they mess up!
The Collector’s Edition includes a 24-page booklet with many behind-the-scenes photos and storyboard images. You’ll also get a set of collector cards, allowing you the chance to fully immerse yourself into the world of Outlander.
Outlander season 7 will come to DVD, Blu-Ray, and the Collector’s Edition on Tuesday, May 27.
