Here we are, closing in on the Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 finale, and the images for the episode have been released. These images tease things to come, and it’s starting to look like canon won’t be followed.
We have a series of images, mostly covering the MacKenzie storyline. However, there are a couple of images for Henry and Julia and for Brian to help remind us that they are part of this final episode. However, the images seem to hint that the wedding is happening, and we have to wonder what this means for Jamie’s parents.
Ellen prepares for her wedding in the Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 finale
As we can see from the feature image above, Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 will end with Ellen MacKenzie getting ready for her wedding to Malcolm Grant. We know that Ellen and Brian run away at some point in the flagship Outlander series, but we’re starting to wonder when that will be.
There is another image of Ellen, and then there’s an image of someone walking down the aisle in the exact same dress as Ellen is wearing. Her face is covered, which could mean that it’s not Ellen, but it has us concerned as we can’t see a way out of this considering the promise Ellen made to her brother Colum.
Speaking of that promise to Colum…
There are some images of the other MacKenzies for the Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 finale, along with images of Malcolm Grant. It’s clear that there is something to discuss, and Malcolm and Colum don’t seem too happy about the situation.
Is it possible that Ellen does manage to get away before the wedding? Does she learn who sent the assassins after Brian, and does it allow her to break her promise to Colum?
Brian gets into Castle Leoch
There are some images of Brian Fraser, and while at first they focus on dealing with the assassins, there are also images of him in Castle Leoch. He runs into Jocasta Cameron in the hallways, which is sure to set up for an interesting conversation.
The question is whether Jocasta will help Brian get to Ellen or whether she will turn him into her brothers. This could go either way with the way Jocasta has been toward Ellen all season, but I have hope!
Maura Grant arrives in Outlander: Blood of My Blood
I think the arrival of Maura Grant is going to be an interesting one. We know that Maura eventually marries Dougal MacKenzie, and this episode could set everything up. She is with the MacKenzie women and Glenna outside as they all pluck chickens, and she doesn’t look too impressed with whatever the conversation is.
This could be a hint at what’s going to happen in the episode. With Maura there, could a different Grant and MacKenzie marry?
Julia looks to say her goodbye
Then we head to images of Julia, where we see her with Davina. It looks like there is a goodbye moment between the two of them, which highlights just how far they have come. Davina can finally help Julia get to her husband and get away from Simon Fraser.
Of course, Simon isn’t going to make it easy for Julia to get away, and it looks like Arch Bug is going to cause some problems for Henry. Can the two make it back to their own time?
