After learning that Julia and Henry both ended up in the past, we get to see how it all played out in Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 2. We also get to see the start of their love story.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 2.
Claire’s parents end up in 1714, and we learn that they are both set up in different parts of the Highlands in the Outlander: Blood of My Blood series premiere. The second episode gives us a look at what happened to them after falling through the stones.

Julia and Henry first met through letters in the Outlander prequel
It turns out that Julia and Henry didn’t meet before World War I. They were joined because of the war, as Henry wrote to absolutely anyone while he fought in the trenches at Passchendaele. It was Julia who ended up coming across his letter, and she decided to write back to him. They formed a love through letters, and it makes sense that the two continue their love story via letters that are “S.W.A.K.”
When Henry gets leave, he immediately goes to see his new love, and their life is able to start. They end up together after the war, with Julia helping Henry through his PTSD, and they start their family. It’s only a few flashes of this before we catch up with them in Scotland, which we find out is because of Julia’s interest in the country.
And from there, we pick up with the end of the Outlander: Blood of My Blood series premiere. Julia goes through the stones first, but it doesn’t take long for Henry to follow. It’s just a little too long for Julia’s safety.

Julia quickly finds herself sold into slavery in Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 2
As soon as Julia falls through the stones, she starts looking for Henry. Realizing he is no longer on the boulder she left him, she writes S.W.A.K. and then heads out for help. That’s the worst decision she could make, as she soon finds herself hit over the head by the Conners.
They owed money to Simon Fraser, so to make up for that, they sell Julia to him. Davina Porter is the maid there, and she makes sure Julia is somewhat looked out for. However, she’s not in the nature of hand holding.
When Julia attempts to escape, Brian stops her, but in the end, one of Simon’s men captures her. Brian steps in to take her punishment, giving us a look at where Jamie’s future actions come from. It’s not that Brian is interested in Julia, but that he doesn’t want her to face his father’s wrath when he knows she doesn’t really belong in the Highlands.

Henry finds himself employed by the Grants
Meanwhile, Henry falls through the stones and finds himself at a tavern. That’s where he sees broadsheets to tell him that he’s in 1714. He doesn’t understand it yet, but it doesn’t really matter at this point. He just needs to find Julia.
However, a comment to Malcolm Grant about deeds to land almost leads to him being killed and thrown down a well. Fortunately, Malcolm comes to his rescue, realizing that Henry knows something about deeds, grants, and lands. The Grant heir takes Henry back home to speak with Isaac, and we get to find out what actually happened to the previous Bladier.
It turns out the man had been stealing from the Grants and working bad deals. With Henry showing that he knows what he’s speaking of, Isaac decides that he can become his new Bladier. At first, Henry isn’t interested, but there’s a veiled threat in the way that Henry is a Sassenach in the Highlands. Deciding to play it smart, he agrees to the terms.

Henry and Julia continue to write letters to each other
With that, the two Beauchamps find themselves in the same time separated by clans. They go back to writing letters to each other, even if they fear that they won’t get those letters to their loved ones. Julia believes that Henry is still in their own time with Claire, while Henry is determined to get back to his wife.
We do learn of one thing. Julia is pregnant with her and Henry’s second child. This is certainly a turn of events, and it seems to hint at a storyline in Outlander season 8.
