It turns out that there will be time travel in Outlander: Blood of My Blood. Henry and Julia Beauchamp can both time travel according to the trailer for the new series.
Now those who haven’t read the books will want to know more. Can the two time travel in the Outlander books? This is where things get rather interesting.

Henry and Julia are barely mentioned in the Outlander books
When it comes to the book storyline, Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston are barely mentioned. We learn from Claire that they died when she was just five, while she was staying at her grandmother’s house. Her parents were killed in a car accident, but their remains weren’t recognizable.
This has led to a lot of speculation from fans, as they believe it could be a hint that the two ended up traveling through the stones. However, Diana Gabaldon has always said they died. The two characters don’t interest her, which is why she hasn’t written about them, and she has no intention of ever writing about them.
To her, they were two boring, mundane characters, and that means no they didn’t fake their deaths and travel through the stones. So, in this, it seems like Julia and Henry being time travelers is only for the series. Of course, it’s not going to stop some fan speculation in the main series, right?

It looks like Henry follows Julia thrugh the stones in Outlander: Blood of My Blood
Based on the trailer for Outlander: Blood of My Blood, it looks like the car accident happens, with Julia going through the stones first. From there, it looks like Henry could remain in his own time looking for her, but then we get a glimpse of him talking to a young Ned Gowan, which means he follows her through the stones as well.
Neither of them will know anything about time travel, though. Maybe Henry will have some sort of idea because of his brother, Quentin, as he is an archeologist, and he could end up mentioning something to Henry. However, the two are relatively normal people, and are likely like Claire, who had no idea about time travel at the time.
Just how much will we see of them in their present day, though? That’s hard to say, but right now, I am worried that the time travel element of the story will change the canonical storyline that we already know.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood will premiere on Friday, Aug. 8 on STARZ.
