There is certainly some exciting news for Canadian Sassenachs. Outlander season 7B will head to the streamer before the month ends.
Yes, we’re getting close to the end of October, but there is a lot to look forward to. This is one of those exciting things that has been overshadowed by Outlander: Blood of My Blood and the trailer for Outlander season 8 dropping, but it’s worth paying attention to.
Outlander season 7B is coming to Netflix Canada in October
It’s often the case that releases on Netflix channels internationally are rather quiet about what’s coming. I didn’t realize the news until I went onto my Netflix account and looked to watch another episode of Outlander. The banner saying “new episodes coming” popped up with a date that made me excited.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, the most recent eight episodes of Outlander season 7 will arrive on Netflix Canada, and it’s a date that I should have known. After all, Netflix Canada tends to get the episodes 11 months after the premiere of a season. As Outlander season 7A had dropped earlier, it’s not surprising to see that the remaining eight episodes are dropping to time with 11 months after the Outlander season 7A premiere on W Network (where it airs in Canada).
What does this mean for Netflix U.S.?
As of right now, the patterns tell us that we should expect the usual pattern for Netflix U.S. It means Sassenachs are waiting a long time for the remaining eight episodes to join the streamer, as the Netflix-STARZ deal is two years after the finale of the season airs on STARZ. So, we’re waiting until Jan. 17, 2027.
It also means that we can work out roughly when Outlander season 8 will arrive on Netflix, both in the U.S. and in Canada. Right now, we know that Outlander season 8 will arrive in early 2026, so we’re looking at early 2027 as a release date on Netflix Canada. As for Netflix U.S., we’re looking at some time around spring or early summer 2028, as we expect a spring or early summer finale date in 2026.
Eyes right now will be on whether Outlander: Blood of My Blood will head to Netflix. Not all STARZ shows head to Netflix, but it’s possible that a deal was made for this show in the universe as well. This is something we’ll likely have to wait a year to find out for Netflix Canada and two years to find out for the U.S.
