For many people, Jenna Coleman became a household name with Doctor Who. She starred as Clara Oswald, and various incarnations of that character, becoming known as The Impossible Girl. However, after Doctor Who, she got a role that proved just how brilliant of an actress she is.
It’s all about Victoria, the series that focuses on the life of Queen Victoria, Britain’s second-longest reigning monarch. The series is both romance and historical fiction, as it tells the story of an 18-year-old girl who finds herself the new Queen of Great Britain.
Victoria is coming to Netflix
All three seasons of the series will arrive on Netflix on Monday, Dec. 1. It’s hard to tell the time that the episodes will drop, as for third-party content, there can be limitations, but most Netflix shows will drop around 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.
And yes, all three seasons of Victoria will be available at once, making it a great binge-watch to start the month.

What is Victoria about?
The ITV series, which aired on PBS originally, follows Victoria, who becomes Queen of Great Britain after the death of her uncle, William IV. As William had no surviving heirs, the crown passed to Alexandrina Victoria, who would immediately focus on making sure she made the decisions. One of those was to use her name, Victoria, which comes up in the very first episode of the series.
The first season focused on the first three years of Victoria’s reign, where she developed an infatuation and intense friendship with Lord Melbourne. Of course, if you know British Royal dramas, you know that other lords didn’t like that, and there were plots against him.
The second season covered the next decade of her life, and then the third season focused on her reign between 1849 and 1851. Yes, the focus of the last two seasons is on Victoria’s marriage to and love for Prince Albert.
Could Netflix revive Victoria?
As the series goes to Netflix, there are always questions about whether a series could be revived. After all, this British series didn’t cover all of Victoria’s reign, considering she died in 1901. That’s 50 years still to cover.
It’s hard to tell, though. In 2021, ITV decided not to order a fourth season of the series, and everyone has since moved on to other projects. If there is a way to get everyone back and there is interest after Netflix, then maybe it could be plausible for a fourth season, but that’s probably not something that will happen.
Victoria will come to Netflix on Monday, Dec. 1.
