Miss Scarlet season 5 is the first season without Stuart Martin as The Duke. All six episodes have already aired in the U.S., and those episodes are finally arriving in the UK.

There isn’t long left to wait for the season. The delay for the episodes hasn’t been as long as the delay for some other shows. After all, many shows are delayed by a few months or even years, depending on licensing agreements.

When will Miss Scarlet season 5 air in the UK?

The new season will premiere on U&Alibi on Wednesday, March 5, according to Radio Times. Yes, it has been a wait since U.S. fans got to watch the season 5 premiere on Sunday, Jan. 12. The entire season has already aired in the U.S.

It does seem a little unfair that a show filled with British actors is coming to the UK second. That’s always been the way with this series, as it’s a PBS show and not a show from the UK licensed by PBS.

The episodes will air at 9 p.m. on U&Alibi each Wednesday. It’s worth watching live!

What to expect in Miss Scarlet season 5

The fifth season picks up with a change at Scotland Yard. With the departure of The Duke, there needs to be a new Detective Inspector. In comes Alexander Blake, who has a varied past. He’s not too hot on sharing his personal details, and he definitely doesn’t want to work with private detectives. That could mean Eliza’s business struggles without the consistent work.

Meanwhile, Patrick Nash is locked away in prison. That isn’t going to be for long. As fans will have heard, Felix Scott isn’t going to be in the sixth episode, so you’ll want to watch the fourth episode of the season to find out how he’s written out of the series. I think it’s a worthy goodbye, and it suits his character well.

We get plenty of drama and plenty of murders. There’s also the involvement of the British Intelligence Service. Enjoy a fantastic season of Miss Scarlet.

And yes, Miss Scarlet season 6 is officially happening. You can go into this without worrying about it being abruptly canceled.

Miss Scarlet season 5 will premiere on Wednesday, March 5 on U&Alibi in the UK at 9 p.m.
