After three years of waiting, we’re a step closer to getting Karen Pirie season 2. We even have a sneak peek of the premiere episode.

Karen Pirie season 2 focuses on the abduction of Cat Grant and her son, Adam. Cat and Adam went missing in 1984, never to be seen again. There were a couple of ransom notes to her wealthy family, but then they stopped, and everyone just disappeared.

Well, there’s a new lead in the case, and Karen gets to lead a task force to get to the bottom of it. Our sneak peek for the Karen Pirie season 2 premiere gives us a look into the new lead, and why Karen may need to bend the knee.

Opening up a cold case in Karen Pirie season 2

We shouldn’t really call the cases cold cases, as Karen prefers them to be known as historical cases. However, a cold case it is in the standard terms of policing, but there’s something that opens it up. The sneak peek shares that a man has been found dead, and there’s a clear connection to the abduction.

Kevin Campbell has been found dead, and in his pocket is a key to a vehicle. Not just any vehicle, though. It’s the vehicle that belonged to Cat Grant, and it was found burned out after her abduction. The problem is there’s no clear connection between Kevin and Cat, which makes it hard to connect the dots to Kevin being the one to take Cat back in 1984.

The one good thing is that the location of Kevin’s body is a new one in the search for Cat. It may have been 40 years ago, but there may be witnesses from around the area who will be able to help. Karen has the perfect man to do that research.

So, why is Karen going to have to bend the knee? This all comes down to who Karen needs to see after the meeting. I’ll let you watch the sneak peek of the Karen Pirie season 2 premiere to find out:

There is a fun connection in Karen Pirie to the bend the knee comment. James Cosmos will play Sir Broderick Grant, the man whom Karen will need to bend the knee to. Well, he also played Lord Commander Jeor Mormont of the Night’s Watch, and there were a few who followed him loyally, including Jon Snow.

And so we prepared for another season of Karen Pirie. You will not want to miss it.

Karen Pirie season 2 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 2 on BritBox.
