Like previous events, The Gathering 2024 is going to be at the World War I Museum in Kansas City. You’ll want to visit the museum itself, but is there time during the event?

The World War I Museum is open to the public during the event. A ticket to the museum is not included in your Gathering tier, so you will need to add it as an extra cost if you want to go. The question is whether there’s time while you’re there.

The Gathering 2024 is a packed event

There isn’t usually time to get to the museum during the active moments of The Gathering 2024. If you’re not a Fraser’s Ridge or Lallybroch tier holder, then early on Friday could be a good time. Friday up until around 3 p.m. local time is when the top two tiers get their photos and autographs done. In fact, Sasnak City will ask you not to turn up at the museum for The Gathering before usually around 1 p.m. local.

So, you have the morning, because you’re likely getting in on Thursday evening, right? Take the time to see some of Kansas City.

If you are a Fraser’s Ridge or Lallybroch ticket holder, then you won’t really have the Friday to do something for you. However, there may be some time on Sunday, as this is the day for the other tiers to get through things. Just keep in mind that on the Sunday, there are often some pop-up panels and meet and greets that you will need to work around. I wouldn’t plan anything during the Saturday and Sunday that isn’t to do with The Gathering specifically.

Go the day before or the day after

By the time the event is done on Sunday, the museum will be closed to the public. The best time to see the World War I Museum is either on the Thursday or the Monday. If you’re in Kansas City for longer, then great! Go those days instead!

Just plan for extra time to see the museum. It is worth it; that one I promise you. With The Gathering happening so close to Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day, this is going to be a big time to go and show your respect for those who died for our freedoms. Just don’t expect there to be time during the actual Sasnak City event.

The Gathering 2024 takes place between Thursday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 17.
